Deployed Husbands

Ok........ I'm new here to this site, and I was just wondering how many of your spouses, daughters, son's, ect. are deployed. This is mine and my husbands first deployment, he has been gone almost a year, we have 3 children and was stationed in Germany prior to the deployment, I am just trying to get to know all of you, so just let me know a little about yourself and your experiences as a army wife, ect.

Hi, I'm Amie. How have you been holding up? Deployments can be very rough, especially with 3 kids. I hope you have a good support system around you because that makes a big difference. It's like being a single parent, but you're not. My husband just got back Thurs. so our family is re-adjusting to his being home. We're thrilled he's home, but it is definitely an adjustment for all of us. Nice to meet you :)

My hubby just got deployed to Iraq 2 weeks ago and this is our 2nd deployment. We've only been married 2 years, and I'm still not used to being a military wife. I just be sure that I have a good support system and hang out with my friends whenever possible so I time can go by faster.

Mornin' gals! I'm Mindy. I'm so glad to meet you all. My husband is deployed but due to come home within 2 weeks from his year deployment. He's retiring after that. THANK YOU GOD!!! No more Iraq! He was supposed to leave for Baghdad in a couple of days, but delayed, thanks to SADDAM TRIALS. Hoping he'll be home on time for Thanksgiving. How are all you girls doing with deployment? My name is Christina. My husband and I have been married about 8 months now, he has been deployed for 7 of them. This is his second deployment, but my first going through it with him as a couple. He is going to be home sometime next year. So I try to keep busy between work and being a full time student. None of my friends and family really get what I'm going through and it gets hard at times. So, please anytime any of you want to talk I can always use another friend. Oh, and Tiffany, CONGRATULATIONS on your baby girl!!!!

Hey All !! My name is RaeLynn, && I'm in the same boat as all of you. I've been with my boyfriend for 4 years (June 19th), and we're talking about marriage, but it's kind of hard while he's in Alaska. He's already had 1 delpoyment and that was for a year. I was only 16/17 at the time he deployed, and being in high school with no real support didn't help me much. 2 weeks before he was supposed to return from his tour, he was extended an extra 4 months, and it was the worst experience I ever had to go through, esepially feeling so alone. He's coming home on leave in 10 days, now, and I haven't seen him in over a year, and after he goes back from leave, he'll be going on his second tour. I've grown stronger over the past 4 years, and I am MORE THAN WILLING to befriend anyone who needs the help I once needed. He's been gone since 5 months into our relationship, so I have a little bit of experience with all of the emotions.
