I met my airman on St. Patrick's Day, 2011. I was just a few days shy of turning 30 and was in the "I'm not into dating" mode due to not finding anyone who fit my standards I'd set for myself. Then this guy started a convo with me and my interest turned toward his friend, who ended up getting my number. We went on a date 2 days later and fell completely in love after several more dates. He was 22 at the time (7.5 year difference). I was so shut off because of the age difference, but he flipped me for a loop, turning out to be more well-grounded than most men I'd ever dated.
I knew what I was getting into, knowing he was an MP on a local base and deploying in 4 months. We fell hard for each other and then had to temporarily let go when he left for duty in Kuwait in July. I've stood STRONG and devoted. He is so loyal and devoted also. He tells me of others going on about how all women cheat, yadda yadda. Only he knows better. :) It's just one of the little battles we easily faced; he is so sickened by the amount of infidelity and such and I have been overcome by the fact that I have found one man who is so honest with me.
We skype, we talk, we communicate .... EVERYTHING. But I tell you, we rarely ever argued before he left, but we seem to argue about something at least once a week now, even 5 months into this. We still haven't been shaken though, but dang, these times are hard! Our love is the truest, purest I have ever known. It's been really tough getting through this though. This is a love that is meant to last.... I just need some tips to help us stay focused to truck through this last month and a half! What are some other ways to make it easier and to go faster?
