I grew up listening to real Country music, and watching the Grand Ole Opry on television each Saturday night.
That glitzy overly commercial stuff they got today ain't "Country".
And, as for the Grand Ole Opry - - - it stopped being the Grand Ole Opry when they took it out of the Ryman Auditorium and created Opry Land.
They should have left well enough alone.
So, I strum my guitar and sing the songs I like, 'cause they ain't on the radio no more.

| | I grew up with Dolly Parton, Hank Williams Jr., and Randy Travis = ) Some of the "country" isn't country and drives me nuts!! I saw Trace Adkins live in concert last Mother's Day here in Yuma!

| | Country music was never really my thing. I can tolerate it, but I won't go out of my way to listen to it. It's all about Journey and other 80's rock bands and of course metal!
