14E MOS (Patriot Missile)

So my little sis has decided to enlist with this MOS. I am in the Air Force and know very little about the Army MOS's. Can anyone tell me anything specific about the job she will be doing? I've googled it and have read nothing but negative things.All my sis says is that she is going to be launching missiles. I can't help but worry because she'smy little sis and i'm sure there will be more to the job than this and i want her to be happy. Ultimately it is her decision, but i'm just curious. Thanks.

In my first enlistment I was in Air Defense. I was a 14S1P stationed at Ft Bragg. ADA is it's own creature and I have heard some negitive stuff from prior patriot crewmenbers. There are only a few places ADA can go. Koera, Qatar, Germany, and a couple more stateside. I dont recall em's launching missles so Im sure there is alot of guard duty and other extra details for the em's to do. I'm not crazy about ADA but not thrilled about the Signal Corps either. I have heards stories about ADA soldiers being attached to Infantry, Engineer, and MP units tagging along with them helping with their missions because there is no real air threat coming from our current enemies. This could change or possible diffrent with the Patriot Missle people. My Battalion HQ is in Qatar and there is a Patriot unit there with there weapon systems deployed to defend Camp Al Saliyah. That seems like a pretty good deal. Qatar is a nice place.

I guess it's all what she wants out of the military. I heard promotion is good for ADA now adays since their jobs are under staffed.

Thanks for the response 'T'. I know she wants to travel, so hopefully she gets the chance to and is happy with her job selection. I've been to Qatar, it's not bad, there are a lot worse places to be.
