| | E5/6 are 798 for 25B's too we are over strenght. Econemy sucks and no one is getting out.

| | Like everyone else that hs done it.. if u start your college early in your career then when its time for SSG it will come easy.. I been in almost 5 years and my MOS is always ovre 750 but since i been doing college i got picked up from E-5 to E-6 in less than a year.. Awards and evrything else will work it self out...

| | Any time an MOS is over strength or DA is doing any changes in alignment or whatever they essentially "freeze" promotions by setting the points that high. Jermaine is right, civilian education is the place most Soldiers are lacking. Max out civilian and military education, your APFT and weapons qual and you are well ahead of the crowd. You can't really control awards or commander's points so handle what you can...

| | Do what you have control over and you will be just fine, I picked up SSG/E-6 in 6 years, SGT/E-5 in 2 1/2 years because I had college, Correspondence, PT and Weapons maxed-out. And our (42A) points are 798 for both E-5 and E-6.
