PLEASE HELP W/ MY SEARCH...

Hello,
I know this is a long shot, but have been searching for my friend Brandon J. Hoekstra. He is in the Navy, since 2001/2002, and was in the Army National Guard, based in Minneapolis, MN before that (1997-2001?). I am an actress in LA, currently on NBC's, "Las Vegas", and was Brandon's girlfriend in college, and more importantly, his friend. I last saw him three years ago, in July/August, when he came to LA to visti me, from Coronado. Then, i believe, he went to Florida for more Navy/EOD training. The last I heard, he was leaving for Bahrain that same fall/winter (2003?), for two years, so he should have gotten back last year (winter 2006, i think). I have not heard from him since he left, and cannot find any way to contact him. I just want to make sure he is safe, and I would like to contact him, or for him to contact me.
If you happen to know him (that would be a miracle!), or if you have friends that may know him, please let me know, or let him know I am searching. Or, if you have knowledge of websites or ways I can find him, I would be so grateful. I have tried some US Navy sites, but because I am not family, and am only a civilian, I don't have access to info., obviously for security reasons. Even if I cannot get his contact info., maybe some of you, whether veterans, active/inactive, etc., have the access to contact him, and if so, please tell Brandon I am searching for him, and give him my email. Well EOD training is at Eglin AFB so i guess try and give the base a call. If all else fails you could contact the red cross and they will get word to him that you have been looking for him. Make sure that you give them your number so that he could reach you

the red cross is for emergencies only

In a way but i had almost the same problem and they ended up contacting one of my best friends when he was deployed.

hi Anna, i am Nathan George, i know how you feel, i have been trying to find my friend from the 80s, his dad was in the airforce. and i haven't seen him since probably 1984. his name is John Darby, and when i try to look up his name, there are hundreds of people with the same name, i think his dad is retired now, and i think he was a JR. i dont know what to do, hope you find your friend Anna, as well i hope i find my friend, take care. Hello I have found over the years the most luck in finding lost friends is thru thier parents.If you know where he is from you can often narrow down a search this way.Most parents are happy to pass on information to thier child about a friend trying to contact them.This also works thru a friend if you know any of his friends. Why don't you try the Buddy Finder at military.com. There's a good likelihood he may be a member there and you can send him a message through his profile??? It's worth a shot anyway?
