I Will be New to Camp Humphreys, in korea.. any advice?

hey everyone,
well i just got married and im planning on moving to korea in august where my husband is stationed now.
does anyone know what its like there?
is it easy to make friends?
are there jobs available besides child care and teaching english?
anything would help, im pretty new to this army thing and i need as much help as i can get!

I will be moving to Camp Coiner Korea with my husband this summer. Like you I do not know what exactly to expect. What I did do was googled every site possible on the post and Korea to see what to expect. I do know that right now is prime monsoon season! I also heard there are AMAZING job opportunities for spouses, and the education is great as well. I have heard from soldiers that have lived there that some parts are gross and children pee in the streets and there are holes in the ground used as toilets, but that's not everywhere. I am more than willing to find information for you! We can become a Korea buddy system and give each other a heads up on things! lol I hope this helps a little bit.

Well I was stationed in Korea for a YEAR..I had a blast however you gotta make sure you dont mingle with the Soldiers even though your husband is a Soldier. Alot of marriages run into problems b/c of this.There is plenty of shopping to do. Go as many places as you can with you hubby. Like Marriage retreats etc. In some parts of Korea it smells funny but you'll get use to it. Travel to Seoul as much as you can..I wish me and my hubby were going there...we just got to Hawaii.
