Anyone in Baumholder??

I am currenty deployed in Iraq but just found out that I have orders to PCS to Baumholder In January of `10... Any advice out there??

In 1969, when I was in Germany, Baumholder was a terrible place to be.

There was nothing there but dirt, and it was so isolated, that the troops couldn't go anywhere.

It looked very depressing.

But, that was MANY long years ago.

The dentist here at the Armed Forces Retirement Home says she was stationed at Baumholder, and she loved it.

So, I reckon things have changed quite a bit.

SGT McGee, have you arrived in Baumholder yet? If not let me know. You might actually be going to Wiesbaden. My orders had Baumholder on them, but I ended up at Wiesbaden.

Baumholder is not a very nice place, it is actually one of the worse places to get stationed besides Graf while you are in germany, hate to say it

bhr is deploying in 10. pretty much eveyone here does 2 deployments b/f getting off the rock.
