On a Quest to Find the Best Military Boots on 02/13/2009 11:02 am
I have been researching boots for over a week now trying to find out what the best ones are, I am trying to get the most comfortable, durable, great for wear during training and operations I can get. I am in the SMP Program through the National Guard and currently finishing my ROTC College degree so I am basically doing Infantry work, so if anyone has any good advice you mind sharing? I was about to settle on the Oakley SI Assault Boots but too many people have told me that they fall apart too fast.

Danner desert TFX rough out boots, they average around 80 to 120 bucks to buy but ive never had a better pair. I've worn everything from od green ripple sole jungle boots to jump boots in black and tan and I've never had a pair of boots I've loved as much as these. They feel like a tennis shoe but are rugged and they maintain a solid grip in mud. Unlike the converse they aslo have no shiney or overly obvious emblems which some commands frown on.

I would have to say that the new line of Rockport Works Duty Uniform boots are amazing. I got to test them before they became available to the public. Very comfortable and durable too.
