Searching for my friend Brandon J. Hoekstra

Hi,
If anyone knows how I can find Brandon J. Hoekstra, US Navy, who l last saw in California, three years ago, while he was stationed at Coronado, I would be so appreciative. He was my boyfriend in college, and I just want to know that he is safe.
A few months after I saw him in CA, he was sent to Bahrain (at least that was the last email I received from him). But, he could have been sent elsewhere, and not been able to disclose where, for security reasons. He told me he would be there for two years, but I have not heard from him since; and he should have come back to the US at least in the past year.
If anyone knows how I can contact him, I would be so happy. I am a civilian, so I do not have access to much contact info. I am an actress in LA, on NBC's, Las Vegas.
If you know him, then I guess I would call you a miracle. Again, his name is Brandon J. (for Joseph) Hoekstra, and he is in the Navy, however I do not know his rank. I do know he went to Florida to possibly train as an EOD diver, after leaving Coronado.
Any information/advice you may have is greatly needed. Please email me directly at annapheil3@hotmail.com. Serious responses only. I just constantly worry about him and have to know whether or not he is okay.

This is the WHOLE point of this site! I truly hope someone can get you into contact with your friend. As we are still a very new site, in time we hope this will never be a problem. I wish you the best of luck.

thanks for the reply...do you know of any websites, or anything, that could help me locate him via the US Navy. I realize for security reasons that the Navy may not be able to help, but i just want to know if he is alive. I also figure the Navy won't give me his personal info., but if they would send him my contact info., then he could get in touch with me. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Or if you know any guys in the Navy that went to Bahrain and returned about a year ago, I would appreciate it if you would ask them if they knew Brandon Hoekstra. I know it's a stretch, but I have been searching for him for a quite some time, and I know somehow I will find him; and hopefully he is safe.
