Good afternoon,
My name is Bryce Kelley and I am a Social Studies teacher in Medford, Wisconsin. My students and I are working on a project with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, in Washington D.C.
There are 1159 men from Wisconsin who's names are inscribed on "The Wall," in D.C. We are working with the VVMF to help them put faces with each of those names on their Virtual Wall. We hope to help visitors find out more about who each of these soldiers was. It is my belief and the belief of the VVMF that these photos will help ensure that these soldiers legacies will live forever.
Below is a link to a website we created detailing the work we are doing.

If you have a photograph of a Wisconsin casualty, you can email me the photo as a .jpeg or send it via regular mail if you are comfortable. We would then scan it and return it to your family. We will also help upload photographs for soldiers from any other state as well.
Since we began this project the outpouring has been overwhelming. Every day we have been able to add more and more photographs and are nearing 400 photographs on-line. We have a long way to go, but will not stop until all 1159 are recognized.
Also, The Wall That Heals, will be in Medford in the Fall of 2009. In conjunction with this event, my students are working on banners for each soldier that will be displayed for the public when "The Wall" is here. Each soldier will have an 11" x 17" banner hanging so that visitors can take a city by city tour of Wisconsin's sacrifice to the Vietnam War. We hope to include a photograph of each soldier. Also included on the banner will be all personal information taken from the VVMF website and any other information we can find or are given by the families. This could include personal stories, copies of personal letters, awards or citations, death notifications, or anything else the families wish to share. If you have copies of anything you wish to contribute you can send those to us as well.
This has been a very rewarding experience for me and especially for my students. It is an absolute honor to be able to help tell the stories of these men. I truly believe they should have been told many
year before.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Bryce
