Anyone have any idea why calls from the u,s, are not making it through on cell phones in Iraq ( camp taji) and when the internet connections will get better there ? A friend of mine has alot of problems with signing online telling me that the internet is really messed up connection wise and they are suppose to be fixing it . If i call cell phone i can hear it ring and get a turned off message , so i know it isnt my phone , at times talking on yahoo i try calling and they said the phone is not ringing .

Any Idea how to fix these things ? Is it a computer problem , bad cell phone ?

Yahoo will be your new best friend....leave offline messages with a pre-arranged time to meet online and then do NOT panic when the friend is not there.....but make damn sure YOU are there. my sons US phone did not work there...they got local cells....was cheaper too. Had to wait for him to call me....
Just hang in there and enjoy the moments you get.

Are you going through MWR or your NIPR line? If it's your NIPR line, it's probably just that the switch is busy and you have to keep trying. If it's through MWR, I don't know what to tell you, we've had a few issues here at Warhorse. Good luck.

Sorry, forgot about the "cell phone" part. Scratch that.
