Ft Hood Signal BN

hey Ive been in a SF unit for the past two years and am about to PCS to Fort Hood and am coded for their Signal BN, any body know what its like there, Im from that area so I know what Fort Hood is Like, I mean Ive Never been in a regular big army unit, so I was wondering what its like

My brother was there for a while, he said it is pretty big, over 200,000 acres and it can get pretty hot, I suggest checking this sight out.

I know the area, Im a local from just north of Hood I just dont know what big army is like in III corp or well Period Ive been in 5th SFG for the past 3 years and well, its gonna be ... a transition to say the least

Was stationed with the 1st Cavalry Division (MMC DISCOM) back in '82-'84...my first duty station after AIT. My opinion it's no different than any other base, other than it's the largest military facility in the US. I doubt you'll experience any "culture shock" by being assigned there.
