Any Tomcat maintainers out there?

Just curious to see if there are any Tomcat maintainers here. Former AME3 here. Was stationed at NAS Oceana from 99-04 with VF-101 and VF-103 with a Med Cruise on the George Washington. Got out RIGHT before the cruise on the JFK. So...are there any others out there?

Hey. I was at Oceana from early 02-05. AT3 at Vf-101. And then with 143. I went on cruise with 143 in 04. Had a few friends in 103 man. Joseph Comer. Also had alot of friends in diff squadroms on Oceana.

I was at Miramar 89 - 91 with VF-51 AQ3 and then an AT3 when they transitioned to an IWT shop just before I got out. Did 1 RimPac and all the workups, just before that, on the Carl Vinson. I almost made the first cruise with the Lincoln, when they brought it around to the Pacific. I miss sitting out on the water in the middle of the night with all the lights out just floating. Can't find that kind of darkness or peace anywhere on land.

yeah i know what you mean. I hated it back then but like they say "you never know what your missing till its gone" I love my job now as Im a full time firefighter but I miss Launching the Big jets esp the Alphas at night when you get to seem them throw the burners on :) I actually keep debating on going back in. Ive been out for almost 4 years now.
