Very well put. I am not a military spouse, but I am going to send this to my Fiance b/c I know he must endure a lot of these questions and stupid comments from people when they find out I am stationed 10,000 miles away or DEPLOYED to Iraq. Great laugh!

| | I completely agree. What's worse is that some of these things have been said by my aunt, and she and her husband are Marine Corps veterans who deployed during Vietnam! There also have been women discussing these things in the PX food court... awful, isn't it?

| | Yep I hear this all the time, its my first deployment, and to top it off im a newlywed.... Gosh some days I think I freak and just slap people.

| | People have NO idea how unhappy military life can be. It's almost like your husband/spouse is married to their job. It's not the life I want anymore and the paychecks are a joke. Kids suffer a lot when a spouse is deployed. It's not WORTH it for a small paycheck every two weeks.

| | AMEN TO #14! My man is a Navy Nuke and I say the same thing to people who try and pity me. He's doing what he wants to do and does a great job of it. This list is amazing and I really commend those who help create this.
