1st LAR Bn.

Some how I doubt this thread will see much activity, but is there anyone out there who served with the 1st Light Armored Recon Bn? If so, when did you serve and with what company. I served with them from Nov. 03 to June of 07. I was with Alpha, Wpns/Charlie/Bravo. The /s are because that Company went through 2 other names before settling with Bravo. I was also a scout on both an LAV25 and a LOG (my 1st Sgt's pig, it was also the medivac vehicle.)

My Ex-husband Joshua Leighton was in 1st LAR from I wana say January 03 until April of 07 he started in weapons company and then went to Delta company then finally was served with an OTH. And my current husband Michael Touponce is currently in Delta company at 1st LAR and hes been there since I wana say 2006. Not sure if that is what your looking for but hopefully it is.

Leighton... Is he a kinda hefty white feller with I think dark hair? Cause that description, if were talking about the same guy, makes me think he and I were in RBE together.

yeah he shared a room with David Stacey for awhile. yeah you probably were. He was a real piece.

HOLY HELL!!! I do know him. Ya he was a jackass. We would always hide after morning formation in a buds room and he would always be on his laptop playin a game or downloadin porn or some trash. man, small world. Do you know how LAR is fairing this tour?

LAR just left for Iraq on the 18th of this month...My husband Michael Touponce... also hung out with David Stacey, Josh Leighton and Andrew VanBuskirk... They will be back sometime at the end of march beginning of april and as far as I know they are going to be border patrol for the syrian border.

Ive heard scuttlebutt that their deployment is half in iraq and half in afgan, do you know if thats true or just bum scoop, neither would suprise me with LAR. lol.

No the whole deployment will be spent in Iraq. They are just doing Border Patrol in the Al Anbar Providence.

Its true, the deployment will only be in Iraq. No word on them going to Afghanistan as of right now. If my boyfriend tells me that he's leaving Iraq, I'll let you guys know.

Border patrol huh..? ive got some fond memories up by the syrian border. lol.

My husband (Chris Brown) is with 1st LAR has been since 2005-he started in Charlie Company, and now he's in H&S Company! so he's been here 3 years-*TOO LONG I MUST SAY*

My husband Jake Roby is with Delta Co. He's been with LAR since 2004 till now.

Ok, I was wrong, this thread has gotten more activity then I thought.

What's up Kirkpatrick I served with Delta from 05-08 and I'm in my macroeconomics class right now bored out of my mind. I was just seeing how 1st LAR was doing over in the FREEZING desert looking at over passes and border crossings.

Michele Touponce that is hilarious that you married Touponce I saw that and I just laughed. Leighton was a bag I remember when he set your daughter on the counter of the duty hut and wasn't holding her and she fell backwards on her head, sorry about that. Well Class is over and hey Elizabeth I don't think I met you but your husband's a good guy. Did he deploy again? I thought he was out.

Mikhail, yea he deployed again. He was going to get out but then decided to make a career out of it.
Yea he deployed again. He's out there with Rodarte and Creel. Just those 3 stayed in everyone else got out.

my Boyfriend Brandon is with 1st LAR Charlie co. and he'll be home soon! I can't believe this deployment is almost over, i'm so happy. But they're not doing border patrol anymore. after 75 days they've given it to the 2/1 :)
