I am in the process of adding bases to the system and I need some clarification when it comes to the CG. (I was raised Air Force and have very little knowledge of anything Coast Guard!)

The main question I have is what is the difference between a USCG base, station, and sector? And what is the proper way to list a base? ie: is USCG Station Seattle correct, or should it be USCG Sector Seattle, USCG Base Seattle or something else?

I am trying to keep things as uniform as possible and would like to make sure I am listing them correctly.

Thanks!

It's been a long time but here it goes.
for USCG Miami is the base "where the sector head quarters are"
I was stationed at Peanut Island " Palm beach FL. life boat station, under command of miami base"
the sector or group covers FL. GA SC and mabe NC
something like that.
