| | Rebecca you would be suprised, haha. Its probably nothing like you remember. We just got done fighting down in Basra and Amarah. We stopped at Tallil to refuel on the way to Diyala Province and man it was nice there. They had Pizza Hut and a Taco Bell I think. After three months of living in the street next to our trucks, it was really nice to swing through there, haha.

| | Tallil Air Base (AKA Ali Air Base: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_Air_Base).
That place was an amazing little strip of nothing run the the 5th Corps at the beginning of OIF I). Funny place where the Mobile Kitchen would not feed us, because we did not have the 5th Corps patch. Never mind we had to be sterile for our MOS. I remember waking up every morning, and looking toward the Ziggurat of Ur and think: "I cannot believer the Army is actually paying me to be here".
Anyway Laura, I have requested for the Name Ali Air Base AKA Tallil Air Base to be included in the choices for assignments.
Cheers,
Uncle Jerry
