We have worked very hard rebuilding the entire site over the last 6 months and we are very excited to hear your feedback. Please post your thoughts in this topic. Thanks!

Just joined and I think this could work well for connecting people and other support groups like ours. We are based in the DC area and trying to connect directlywith those deployed so we can send them bulk care packages - to whole platoons/units, brigades, etc. Good luck!

Thanks for the comments Ed. We just launched phase 2 of the site in May and we are working on some upgrades that will be coming out over the next month or two. Also we are still tossing around ideas on how we want to handle units, but that is definitely something that will be added in the future.

The site looks very good to date. A lot easier to get around in. I have a question for ya. My buddy and I have started a Yahoo Group for anyone that was stationed at our base. I was wondering if you have a link slot for letting folks know the address and how to get there from here. I just added our two bases that we were stationed at in France. Were have been trying to find folks for years and only have located 3 guys since starting the groups site about a month ago. Thanx in advance, Nick Del Prete

Hi Nick,

First of all i'm glad to hear you like the site. As far as your bases go we will work on getting them added in to the system and then once they are added they will be listed on your profile. As of right now we do not know what the link will be since they are dynamic, but you can send anyone to www.myarmedforces.com and they will be able to search the base and add it to their military career as well. Once they base is in the system anyone else that belonged to the base in the past can add the base to their profile as well.

looks good so far. how about adding warfare pins for us sailors? I'm very proud of my submarine qualification and would like to be able to have that with my ribbon rack.

Yea the next update with the ribbons is going to be devices. The Air Force has this setup and it seems to work really good. I know of one problem that i need to fix and then its just a matter or researching the individual ribbons and selecting which devices they should have. Then once all that is done, I will start focusing on the badges. Then all the specialty stuff. It will take sometime for the new stuff as we need to create the images.

I am a Veteran and Songwriter and would be proud to post my song TO OUR TROOPS(which was sent worldwide by the American Legion FREE to our Service Members). I have the song posted on other sites...Have you considered the possibility of either a music player or a place to post an HTML code where a music player could be placed? . If not on individual pages, maybe a monitored page(by the administrators) for Patriotic songs ..Doc Killian

I like the site. It could be a little more html/bbcode friendly as well as provide better opportunity to meet other people

Shari,

Thanks for the feedback. We are currently staying away from allowing users to use HTML & BBcode. We use to allow it in the past and it created a mess so we decided to block it.

As for meeting other people around the site it is currently a lot easier to meet people if you added bases to your military career. Since your a Military Supporter you lose a lot of those features and we are still working on other ways to connect people. Some other features you can use for the time being are the forums, search & friend finder.

Mike.
