My name is Soky. I used to be married to a guy in the air force but way before that always had a fascination with the military. I was planning on joining and went to take my asvab and whatnot, but later on I hurt my back and cannot do anything about it. So Im kinda stuck..my only way is to be a supporter or....marrying someone in it...lol
Be careful what you wish for girl. I'm in love with a Marine Corps tanker. I haven't seen him since July 15th and he's going to Iraq for the 3rd time in March. Loving a man in the military is no easy task...but the wait is certainly worth it.

Well, my screen name says it all. Love the military, have many friends in and out of the military, Vets are my heroes. Lost a cousin in Nam, I dedicate all my efforts of protect the rights of Vets and AD to him. Without heroes like that, we all would not be able to enjoy our freedom.
Other than that, I like to goof off, which I do rather well at thank you. I love to enjoy life and hope to someday actually grow up, but dont count on it.
I drink, a little, I curse way to much, I love my Rottie, which I think of as a family member. My Male Rott, which is the picture you see on my avatar died last summer, was like a brother to me. We just clicked in all the right ways.
I love to read all kinds of books. I write poetry when the mood hits me. I am trying to learn to play the quitar, which I happen to suck at. I love to play video games, who doesnt right? My son kills me everytime we play one together which is why I am selling him to the highest bidder. My daughter is drop dead beautiful and I have now officially gone into horrified mode, she is a teen. So the her bedroom now has several locks on it and I will be removing them in about 50 years or so.
My wife is way more than a Arsehole like me deserves, she is way to good for me and I do know it. Her only fault that I can see is she likes small dogs and made me buy her a chihuahua. YUCK. Althougth secretly he is pretty cool, any little dog that can handle rotties playing with him is alright. My daughters Pom Pom is a real terror and I try to run over it but she wont let me. :D
I am fat, happy, gray headed and old, but my wife is young sexy and making me start a stupid diet that unfortunatly I have to do, she controls the well... you know. So I dont have a choice. DAMN.

lmao i just posted my newb post.. then i seen this.. oh well :P I'm shari, i'll be 20 in june. I'm a former Army girlfriend, a proud sailors grandaughter and a proud military supporter :D My life as of now is that of a single nursing student :p
HI I am Moria. I was enlisted as a helicopter airframe mechanic (UH-1N Hueys and AH-1W Cobras)for 5 years. I EASed as a Sgt. in Feb of 2006.
I am the proud wife of a career Marine. He has been selected to GySgt, and just re-enlisted. We are PCSing to Stuttgart, Germany, where he will be 1 of like 2 Marines as a liaison for DISA in Europe.
We have one beautiful 3 year old little girl who turns 4 in August. I stay at home in the hopes of raising her right and so the chores get done (ugh).

Sill in Oklahoma-- as of tomorrow 7/26/07 he will belong to the US Army. Just checkin stuff out, meeting people. I hope to see my best friend/sister signed up with this site too, as she just married the 'ol boy on 7/22/07. He's actually a 'baby' at 23.
My grandfather was also in the Army-- WWII vet, combat medic; my stepfather was in the Navy; my DH's uncle was in the Navy and both his grandparents were in the USAF stationed in Newfoundland back in the 50's.
Other than that, I think that's the only connection I have to the military.

Hello Everyone I'm glad to be a part of such a great site.
I've not ever been in the Military but My Grandpa was in the 2nd WW he was in the Navy & from what I hear he was recognized as a Hero of some sort & got some sort of Medal.
It wasn't the Highest Medal The Congressional Medal of Honor but it was some Medal just underneath of it though. My Uncle told me that. Whether it's true or not I don't know. I never got to meet my Grandpa but I've sent away for his Records so I've got to wait until March of next yr. then I'll know for sure one way or the other.
Till then I will just know that My Grandpa Served his Country in the 2nd WW & Know that he Proudly Served his Country. That's all that Matter's to me anyhow.

I don't support Bush, he's wasted more of our Troops, & Tax $ for this stupid war that was his war & fight.
We should have gone after Osama bin laden & then went after Sadam but Noooooooooo Our Young Men & Women had to die for what?????

Our Troops have done more than he has as far as being compassionate goes.
Half of our Men who've gotten thrown into Military Jails wouldn't even be there if Bush would have given the correct order's & sent our Troops to fish out Osama.
But nooooooooooo we couldn't have that.......The individual because he's no man as far as I'm concerned had to start his war in Iraq, when we should have been in Afganistan.
Makes perfect sense to me. We was supposed to go after the ones who declared war upon us on 9/11/01 not go after someone who did nothing to us. Yes Sadam needed to be stripped of his power's & even killed but we needed to go after Osama first then Sadam.
Bush is so ass backwards I'm ashamed to say he's our President.
I'm sorry if you didn't like what I said but I've got the right to how I feel about this putrid war.
